It was a gloomy day BUT... (Northern Virginia Family Photographer, Northern Virginia Photographer)

Sure it was a gloomy day BUT it didn't stop the smiles!  Considering the rain that started to fall and the wind that was blowing, I think we got some pretty great shots.  Of course I was making the girls do some jumping jacks to stay warm.  :)

Colors in Fall Without the Trees (Northern Virginia Family Photographer, Northern Virginia Child Photographer, Northern Virginia Photographer)

Alas, most of the leaves are gone off the trees.  You can find a few still left here and there but not many.  So what do you do?  You BRING IT!  You show the fall who is boss and you make the colors come to life!

Who's at the door? (Northern Virginia Baby Photographer, Northern Virginia Photographer)

Don't  you love to find special gifts at your door?
Just check out this precious little gift.
By the smile on his face, I think he likes who is there.  :)

Oh, this just makes me want to snuggle.
I just love the hat too.  I love the texture and quality of it.  It really does make a difference in photos by all of the cute little hats and such.
You can see other great hats on Gia Bella Hats and Such FaceBook page.  You can also contact them at giabellahats@gmail.com.

Isn't he just so cute, precious, and tiny.  It is so wonderful to have a picture of your little baby at this stage because in just a week or two they have already grown so much more.  It is great to have pictures to reflect upon.

OK, I just had to add this picture.  It truly brings a smile to my face and a little giggle.  It is truly funny.  This was the last picture taken of the day and I couldn't have planned it better.
It gives a whole new meaning to "Rock a bye baby".

You are smiling aren't you!

We Captured Those Colors Before They Were Gone! (Northern Virginia Family Photographer, Nothern Virginia Child Photographer)

I find that the best time of the year to capture Virginia's beautiful fall colors is the last 2 weeks of October.  BUT, we were able to still capture some of the fall's glory before mother nature cleaned house.

Keep em coming back for more! (Northern Virginia Photographer, Northern Virginia Family Photographer, Northern Virginia Children Photographer)

This dear sweet family is such good friends of mine.  I don't know if they keep coming back to me because they like what I do as a photographer, or if they are just my good friends and I am so fun to be with :).  I would like to think both!  I am just playing around (mostly).  But for real, it is a pleasure to work with this family.  I don't know what their mother does to make them behave so well during the photo session but she is good!  I need her to be the child whisperer for my kids.  :)

A Pleasure Again (Northern Virginia Photographer, Northern Virginia Family Photographer)

Here is another family that I have the pleasure of working with again.
Last year they had me scaling rock walls to get beautiful pictures of their family.  I can't even really complain about scaling the rock wall because the mom was climbing the wall in her stiletto boots!  And she didn't even need any help!  And even more crazy, she still looked fabulous!  I on the other hand was grateful no one was taking pictures of me because I was far less than graceful and I am sure Iddn't look very pretty on the other side.
This year there was no wall climbing but I think we still got some great shots.

Baby Blue Eyes (Northern Virginia Photographer, Northern Virginia Baby Photographer)

Oh these baby blues.  This little guy had the bluest eyes.  They are just gorgeous.
He is a strong little fella too!  I was amazed at his little push ups and attempted crawling and can you believe it, he is only 3 months old!  It puts my push ups to shame.

I think this picture is just adorable.  I thought it was cute how he was covering his monkey's eyes.  Then it made me think of those 3 monkeys, ya know, one has his mouth covered, another one has his ears covered, and the last one has his eyes covered.  Something to do with evil right?  But then I thought, "HEY! wait a minute!  My little friend here was covering the eyes of his monkey who is facing.... ME!  Hmmmm, maybe it was because I made this little man stay in tummy time too long.  Hee hee hee.

So sweet huh?  I just want to eat his little toes and pinch his cute little belly.  Hmmmm, maybe I am evil.  :)
