Anothern (Northern Virginia High School Senior Photographer, Aldie Senior Photographer, South Riding Photographer)

High School Senior Pictures are so fun!  I got to hang with this really cool (wait, is cool even a cool word to say anymore?) High School Senior.  He was a young man with few words but he sure had a great smile for days.
I got to ride in his awesome Jeep.  The only problem is that I am a shorty and I had to give myself a running start to get into it.
I had a great time working with this guy and chatting away with his awesome mother.
Here is what came of the session:

The Story Behind the Picture (Northern Virginia Family Photographer, Northern Virginia Photographer, Northern Virginia Child Photographer, Northern Virgnia Couples)

I love stories!  Maybe not reading them, but hearing them and telling them.
I have a story behind every photo session I take.  I LOVE it!!!  I love the adventures, the romance, the love, the comedy, etc.  There is a story behind every picture I take and I wouldn't change it for the world.
Take for instance the fabulous family, who I am fond of.  There was someone who fell short on their nap and someone who had partially green hair from the Halloween party the night before but it didn't stop me from the challenge of getting a good portrait.  I don't know, but I think it would be a challenge, unless you were there, to figure out who those people were.  In fact, generations from now, there will be laughs and stories when the grandkids and great grandkids look at these photos.  This family will tell about the great adventure of this photo session.
Alright, alright.....it was me who didn't get their nap.  LOL!
I am very happy with the results of the family session and I think nothing but wonderful things of this great family!  It was a pleasure to hang out with them!

Do you know what I love the most about this picture????  It is so adorable but this young little guy was doing so much more in it!  Check it out........

Boys will ALWAYS be boys!  I have learned with my two little boys that sticks, dirt, mud, and all things dirty, make the most fun!

Always a Pleasure, ALWAYS! (Northern Virginia Family Photographer, Northern Virginia Child Photographer, Northern Virginia Photographer, Leilani Mitchell Photography)

I have had the great pleasure of photographing this family a few times.  I truly think they are an amazing family!  They are so sweet and so much fun too.  The kids are so easy to work with and they have a fun little spunk about them too.  I offered the mother to trade kids for a week to train them but maybe she should train me for a week.  LOL!
I love this location we went to.  It isn't too crowded and you get to enjoy the splendor of the trees.  I think there is some history there too but I will save that for another day to learn.

Fundraiser for Alicia Hughes (Northern Virginia Photographer, Northern Virginia Event Photographer, Northern Virginia Photographer)

What a cool opportunity I had to photograph a Fundraiser Event for Alicia Hughes who is running for Alexandria Council.  There were many dignitaries there including, Former Congressman Artur Davis, State Senator Mark Obenshain,.  The Alexandria GOP, Frank Fannon and Bob Wood were there.  It was a great event.  I have to thank my husband for this opportunity.  He passed on my information to someone at lunch who was looking for an event photographer.  What a fantastic opportunity that was!
Here are a few pictures of the evening.

Wonderful Family, Beatiful Setting (Northern Virginia Family Photographer, Northern Virginia Photographer, Northern Virginia Child Photographer, Northern Virginia Couple Photographer)

It was such a pleasure to meet this family.  They were so incredibly wonderful and flexible.  There was the threat of the Hurrican Sandy coming up and their family photoraphy session so I called them up and rescheduled their appointment.  Not only were they willing to change their session date, when I got to the location they had selected of course there was an event going on.  I thought this was very unfunny because I had e-mailed the place and they never mentioned this event that weekend.  Anyway, we quickly changed the location and I think it worked out perfectly!
Just look at how gorgeous these pictures turned out!

Fall in Virginia (Northern Virginia Family Photographer, Northern Virginia Photographer, Northern Virginia Child Photographer)

I am so lucky to live in such a beautiful area.  The colors are just exquisite this time of year.  I think Hurricane Sandy may take any of the color left on the trees though.
We were lucky enough to get the beautiful fall colors in this family session.
Such a beautiful family too.  Their son did so good during the session.  At first he was so shy but by the end, he did such a great job.  I think he did get the firetruck that he was bribed with.  :)

How Do You Describe It? (Northern Virginia Wedding Photographer, Prince Willliam County Wedding Photographer, Northern Virginia Wedding Photographer, Carmen's Carts)

So would you say "the most fun"?  How about "very unique"?  "Exciting, Beautiful, Relaxing, Full of Love, Thoughtful, Creative," or how about "Perfect"?  That actually fits this wedding, "Perfect".
I mean, come on, the weather was very enjoyable, the fall leaves were bursting with color, all their loved ones, including their sweet dog, was gathered around in a very relaxing yet fun filled atmosphere.  Everyone had a great time after the ceremony to be playing basketball, bocce ball, kite flying, oh, the list goes on.
Here are just a few pictures of this wonderful wedding.
Just look at the expressions on their faces.  It just melts your heart doesn't it?

This just makes me laugh!  This little girl just had to be a part of the wedding!

I believe the father of the groom built this beautiful backdrop.

Now I was experimenting with this picture.  I was going for a vintage look.

Now this is just downright cool.  Instead of a wedding cake the couple opted for Italian Ice, geloto, custard, and yogurt.
You should check out this traveling yumminess.  The name of the company is Carmen's Carts.Carmen's Carts.
This was my first ever time of having gelato and it was AMAZING!    Even now my toungue is salivating for it.

Check out how cool this company is.  I hope I get to run into one of Carmen's Carts again one day. Carmen's Carts

The day was so fun.  It even ended with everyone playing Laser Tag and I mean EVERYONE including our bride and groom!  It was such a good time.
