When I schedule appointments with families I let them choose the location but who knew that I would be going to the same location 2 times in a row.  It was all just a coinsidence.  But who can blame them, it is a beautiful location.  The great thing about each of these family's sessions were they were unique.

What a wonderful family this was.  There daughter is simply adorable.  She was just too cute blowing kisses, running around, and talkin up a storm.  There was so much love with the family.  I got so many cutsie shots of them being so loving.  Don't for the peaceful wishes for this season and into the next year. 



Sweet Little Guy (Northern Virginia Newborn Photographer, Northern Virginia Baby Photographer, Northern Virginia Photographer)

This sweet little guy is just adorable.  I got to snuggle with him a lot because he just didn't want to sleep.  I still got an adorable picture of him wide awake. 

It took a couple of tries but we got some really sweet sleepy pictures too.

What happens when I am a real easy going person who is taking pictures of a real easy going family?  Well, it goes like this, I say "What area interests you for your family pictures?"

"Oh, I don't care, whatever you think will look good" they say. 

"Well, they all look good to me."  I say.

Then they say, "Wherever you want to go."

Hee hee, this is when my photographer personality kicks and we just go for it and we get a little of it all.  :) 

It is so great when people trust and look for my artistic direction.  I love the flow.

It was pure joy to work with this family.  Everyone was all smiles and we laughed and laughed some more.  The kids were great and I think we all had fun!  Well, I did.  The kids didn't seem tortured.  :) 

I love my backyard.  It is funny, in years past I used my yard a lot but this fall, I hadn't used it at all.  I love all of the color back there.  I think it was perfect for the pictures.

Sweet but with some Sass-a-ma-tass!  (Giggle, giggle) I have know this family for almost 3 years now and I just love the little spunk in each of their children.  I love spunk!  It is such a great thing.   It isn't boring, it isn't disrespectful, it isn't over the top.  It is a little sassy but in all the right ways.  It is proud of being a girl and having fun.  

I have more than a little Sass-a-ma-tass in me and I wouldn't have it any other way!

Look at how that color just makes their eyes POP!

This picture has the most spunk in it!  I just love it!  This little cutie is just slightly oler than my son and I have know here since she was even littlier.  She was absolutely adorable with her fun little shirt with the fun hat.  Seriously, you may find me rockin something just as fun with ears or something crazier! 

 

 

Anothern (Northern Virginia High School Senior Photographer, Aldie Senior Photographer, South Riding Photographer)

High School Senior Pictures are so fun!  I got to hang with this really cool (wait, is cool even a cool word to say anymore?) High School Senior.  He was a young man with few words but he sure had a great smile for days. 

I got to ride in his awesome Jeep.  The only problem is that I am a shorty and I had to give myself a running start to get into it. 

I had a great time working with this guy and chatting away with his awesome mother.

I love stories!  Maybe not reading them, but hearing them and telling them. 

I have a story behind every photo session I take.  I LOVE it!!!  I love the adventures, the romance, the love, the comedy, etc.  There is a story behind every picture I take and I wouldn't change it for the world. 

Take for instance the fabulous family, who I am fond of.  There was someone who fell short on their nap and someone who had partially green hair from the Halloween party the night before but it didn't stop me from the challenge of getting a good portrait.  I don't know, but I think it would be a challenge, unless you were there, to figure out who those people were.  In fact, generations from now, there will be laughs and stories when the grandkids and great grandkids look at these photos.  This family will tell about the great adventure of this photo session. 

Alright, alright.....it was me who didn't get their nap.  LOL! 

I am very happy with the results of the family session and I think nothing but wonderful things of this great family!  It was a pleasure to hang out with them!

Boys will ALWAYS be boys!  I have learned with my two little boys that sticks, dirt, mud, and all things dirty, make the most fun!
