Porter Family Pictures

 This is so cool.  I got to use my couch again.  I think it adds so much character.

 I just love the feel of this picture.  It was completely candid.  I just love to see the joy and happiness of a family.   

After playing on the couch, we went climbing through vines and weeds to get this great moment.  The family was so awesome and willing to go on this little adventure to get such a great shot.

Wonderful Day (Northern Virginia Family Photographer, Northern Virginia Photographer)

I couldn't have asked for a better day.  The weather...perfect, the lighting...perfect, fall leaves...perfect.  The children were so good and I will give kudos to the parents too.  I guess the one sad thing was I lost a cap off my camera.  :(  Darn that cap, where did you go?  The family was so sweet to hike all over the place with me searching for this clear plastic piece.  Just look at these pictures, so wonderful.

What an incredibly small world we live in.  I am all the way on the other side of the country from where I grew up and what do you know, a friend of mine from High School is out here too.  We reconnected randomly when we were both walking into the same building at the same time finding out that we were going to be working together over the summer at a girl's camp.  I am so glad there is another potato girl out here in Virginia. 
Here are the pictures from my friends family photo shoot.  We had waaay too much fun laughing and having fun.  Her poor children think Idaho girls are weird, well maybe they just think this Idaho girl is weird.  :)

Johnson Family in Old Town Manassas, VA (Northern Virginia Family Photographer)

This is such a great time of the year.  Not only is it fall (which is my favorite season) but it is that time where everyone gets their family photographs done.  It was such a pleasure "playing" (that is what I call photographing) with the Johnson family.  We went to such a wonderful location.  It was full of character, charm, and oh my favorite color!

It is that time of year for family photographs.  I thought we might better get ours done before it gets too late.  I can't actually take the credit for taking all the pictures.  I only took the pictures of my oldest son Zeke.  But the rest of the pictures were taken by my very dear friend Sheena Phipps.  Thank you so much for your help.  It was a beautiful location and a wonderful day (once we got my baby to stop crying).

I was scouting for new locations to photograph and I found this awesome place!  I just love it!  It is so cool.  My sons were perfect models for me.  We had so much fun exploring and checking out this cool new place.  I can't wait to use it again.
